Savannah - Mayor Pro Tem and 5th District Alderwoman Dr. Estella Edwards Shabazz will be hosting a community meeting on Monday, April 29 to discuss the upcoming zoning actions required for the Fairgrounds redevelopment.
The Fairgrounds property, a 60-acre site located at 4801 Meding Street, is set for a future mixed-use project that will encompass various amenities. According to the Office of Communications, the project will include housing, film studios, a creative workforce innovation center, neighborhood commercial uses, an indoor sports facility, outdoor sports fields and courts, playgrounds, a nature preserve, and other community amenities.
The town hall meeting, titled "Town Hall | Zoning Actions for Fairgrounds", is scheduled for Monday, April 29, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Liberty City Recreation Center, located at 1401 Mills B Lane Blvd.
