Rick W. Allen, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 12th district since 2015, has shared his perspectives on key issues affecting his constituents and the nation. Born in 1951 in Augusta, Georgia, Allen has been active in both local and national discussions, engaging with matters ranging from financial regulations to energy policy and community support.

On April 30, 2025, Allen tweeted about a discussion by C. Crain on the importance of the Protecting Prudent Investment of Retirement Savings Act. He called on Congress and the Department of Labor to support ERISA plan participants’ best interests: “Now is the time for Congress and the DOL to stand up for these workers and ensure that ERISA plans are operating in their participants’ best interests.”

Later on the same day, Allen emphasized the role of expanding nuclear capabilities in restoring U.S. energy dominance. He directed his followers to an op-ed he authored in the Washington Times Energy Special Section, signaling the strategic importance of such developments: “Expanding our nuclear footprint will be instrumental in reclaiming American energy dominance.”

On May 1, 2025, Allen extended his condolences following the death of Ben Harbin, a former State Representative. He, along with his wife Robin, expressed their sympathy and solidarity with Harbin’s family and Georgians affected by the loss: “Praying for the family and loved ones of former State Representative Ben Harbin. Robin and I join all Georgians in mourning this heartbreaking loss.”
