U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter, representing Georgia’s 1st district, has recently addressed key issues on health and digital assets through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 16, 2025, Carter drew attention to public health concerns in rural areas by stating, “Chronic disease is putting our rural communities at risk. The #MAHA movement is here to fight back and invest in the health of our nation.”

The following day, Carter shifted focus to digital policy. On July 17, he expressed support for new legislation in the crypto sector: “Today, I spoke in strong support of the CLARITY Act. The United States must LEAD the world as we enter the era of digital assets! #CryptoWeek” Later that day, he promoted another legislative initiative: “The GENIUS Act sets clear, smart rules for stablecoins – protecting consumers and boosting innovation. Another step toward making the United States the crypto capital of the world!”

Carter has represented Georgia’s 1st congressional district since 2015 after succeeding Jack Kingston. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of Georgia’s state legislature from 2005 through 2014. Born in Port Wentworth, Georgia in 1957 and currently residing in Pooler, Carter holds a BS from the University of Georgia (1980).
