U.S. Representative Buddy Carter, who has served Georgia’s 1st congressional district since 2015, posted several messages on October 31, 2025, including comments on national politics and a holiday greeting.
In one post at 1:00 p.m., Carter shared a seasonal message: “Happy Halloween! https://t.co/hOs77KIbz6”.
Later that day, at 3:58 p.m., Carter responded to a statement by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. Carter wrote: “Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said, ‘Every day gets better for us.’ I’m not sure what world you live in, Chuck. Every day gets worse for Georgians. https://t.co/c76OOGU25g”.
Also at 3:58 p.m., Carter introduced another post related to political discourse on the government shutdown, stating: “On this edition of ‘In Democrats’ Own Words’ about the Government Shutdown…”.
Buddy Carter has maintained his seat through multiple election cycles. In the most recent general election in 2024, he won against Patti Hewitt with approximately 62% of the vote. He previously defeated Wade Herring in 2022 with about 59%, Joyce Griggs in 2020 with around 58%, Lisa Ring in 2018 with nearly 58%, and Brian Reese in 2014 with close to 61%. These consistent victories reflect his continued support among voters in Georgia’s coastal district.
