Buddy Carter has maintained his seat through multiple election cycles. In the most recent general election in 2024, he won against Patti Hewitt with approximately 62% of the vote. He previously defeated Wade Herring in 2022 with about 59%, Joyce Griggs in 2020 with around 58%, Lisa Ring in 2018 with nearly 58%, and Brian Reese in 2014 with close to 61%.
