U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter, representing Georgia’s 1st district, shared a series of posts on his social media account addressing border security, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and energy policy.

On July 21, 2025, Carter posted: “RT if you support a CLOSED border! https://t.co/gSefoGOkAN”.

The following day, on July 22, 2025, he commented on a major pharmaceutical investment in the United States: “AstraZeneca announced a $50 BILLION investment, onshoring pharmaceutical manufacturing in the United States. America First policies are strengthening and securing our domestic pharmaceutical supply chains while taking them away from our adversaries, like China. Find out more”.

Later that same day, Carter highlighted nuclear energy as essential for future technological development: “Nuclear energy is key to powering America’s future. With AI and crypto surging, we need every electron available to lead in these areas. Find out more below https://t.co/UG6wMIxBxn”.

Carter has represented Georgia’s 1st District in Congress since 2015 after succeeding Jack Kingston. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2009 and the Georgia Senate from 2009 to 2014. Born in Port Wentworth in 1957 and currently residing in Pooler at age 65, Carter graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980.
