Buddy Carter, U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 1st district since 2015, posted a series of messages on his social media account between April 1 and April 2, 2026. The posts included remarks on a space-related milestone, a holiday greeting for Passover, and his opposition to federal legislation affecting hunting traditions.

On April 1, Carter commented on what he described as a significant event: “53 years in the making. Fly safe! https://t.co/lmOSJN8EfO”.

Later that day, he extended holiday wishes: “Wishing all who celebrate Passover a safe and meaningful holiday! https://t.co/q2S779Hxu8” (April 2).

On April 2, Carter addressed pending federal legislation related to hunting practices: “I’m strongly against H.R. 5017, which is another attempt by California elites to continue chipping away at longstanding hunting traditions they have zero understanding of. The bill would prohibit live training aids for greyhounds; HOWEVER the risk of minor amendments being made”.

Carter has held his seat in Congress since succeeding Jack Kingston in 2015. He has consistently won re-election by significant margins in general elections against various Democratic challengers from 2014 through 2024.
