U.S. Representative Buddy Carter posted a series of tweets on August 30 and 31, 2025, expressing criticism of political opponents and current issues related to gender identity and government spending.

On August 30, Carter posted “#StingEm “ at 12:20 p.m. UTC.

Later that day, he addressed Senator Jon Ossoff and the media in a post stating, “Dear @jonossoff and your pals in the mainstream media: this is precisely why Georgia and America voted for Donald Trump – to stop our tax dollars from funding this kind of insanity. Good riddance, Dr. Daskalakis.” The tweet was published at 5:05 p.m. UTC.

On August 31 at 3:13 p.m. UTC, Carter further criticized Democrats in another post: “Out-of-touch Democrats like @JonOssoff and Dr. Daskalakis care more about pushing the trans agenda than protecting children.

The Make America Healthy Again movement puts children and SCIENCE first, not radical gender ideology.”

Buddy Carter has maintained his congressional seat through multiple election cycles, defeating Democratic challengers including Patti Hewitt in 2024 by a margin of 62% to 38%, Wade Herring in 2022 with 59.15% of the vote, Joyce Griggs in 2020 with over 58%, Lisa Ring in 2018 with nearly 58%, and Brian Reese in 2014 by almost a two-to-one margin.
