U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter, representing Georgia’s 1st district, posted a series of tweets in mid-July 2025 addressing tax savings, Federal Reserve leadership, and a major change by Coca-Cola regarding its sweetener sourcing.

On July 15, Carter encouraged his followers to support a proposed tax saving initiative by posting: “RT If you support SAVING $1,500 in taxes! #OBBBA”.

The following day, Carter criticized Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell in relation to an over-budget renovation project: “.@realDonaldTrump has made it clear:

If Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell can’t manage a simple building renovation, which is $600 MILLION OVER BUDGET, then he has no business running the U.S. economy.

Time to DUMP Powell, CUT RATES, and put AMERICA FIRST! ” (July 16).

Later that same day, Carter announced what he described as a significant development for public health and American industry: “Another HUGE WIN for MAHA!

Through @realDonaldTrump’s leadership, Georgia’s very own Coca-Cola has agreed to use CANE SUGAR for Coke products produced in the U.S.!

Thank you @CocaCola for Making America Healthy Again! America First tastes BETTER! ” (July 16).

Buddy Carter has served as the U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 1st District since 2015 after succeeding Jack Kingston. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 2005 to 2009 and served in the Georgia Senate from 2009 to 2014. Born in Port Wentworth in 1957 and currently residing in Pooler, Carter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia.
