Buddy Carter, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 1st district since 2015, has been active on social media discussing various issues. Born in Port Wentworth, Georgia, in 1957 and residing in Pooler, Carter has a background that includes serving in the Georgia House of Representatives and the Georgia Senate.

On May 20, 2025, Buddy Carter commented on former President Biden’s health disclosure: “Biden announced two years ago that he had cancer. No one deserves to suffer through the pains of cancer, and I am praying for our former President. The American people also deserve honesty and transparency. We must get to the bottom of who else knew about this diagnosis and https://t.co/CL8uAvItVc”.

Later that day, Carter expressed gratitude towards a local utility company: “Thank you to @GeorgiaPower for putting Georgians First! Freezing base rates will provide a level of financial certainty to Peach State residents, who are still feeling the effects of Biden-Harris era inflation.”

The following day, on May 21, 2025, he highlighted an important health observance: “May is #SkinCancerAwarenessMonth! Use this time to educate yourself, check your health, and reduce your risk of skin cancer. #CongressionalFamilies #SkinCancerAwarenessMonth”

Buddy Carter’s career in public service began after his graduation from the University of Georgia with a BS degree in 1980. He succeeded Jack Kingston in Congress after serving at state levels from 2005 until his congressional election.
