Buddy Carter, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 1st district since 2015, shared his thoughts on recent legislative developments through a series of tweets. Carter, who has a background in pharmacy and politics, having served in the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate before joining Congress, discussed initiatives aimed at improving healthcare and financial conditions for Americans.

On July 10, 2025, Buddy Carter expressed gratitude towards Secretary Kennedy for their leadership in what he described as “another significant step to Making America Healthy Again.” “Thank you, @SecKennedy, for your leadership!” This tweet highlights ongoing efforts to address health-related issues at the national level.

Later that day, Carter announced the introduction of the Bipartisan Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) Reform Act. He criticized PBMs for allegedly depriving patients of essential resources. As a pharmacist himself, Carter noted the adverse effects these managers have had on families forced to choose between basic necessities and medication. “For decades, PBMs have been STEALING patients’ hope and health.”

In another post from July 10th, Carter highlighted the financial relief provided by what he termed “The One Big, Beautiful Bill,” which reportedly saved Georgians $1,500 on taxes. He pointed out that this amount could cover seven weeks’ worth of groceries and implied opposition from Senator Ossoff regarding this benefit. “That’s SEVEN weeks of groceries @SenOssoff doesn’t want you to have.”

Buddy Carter continues to serve as an active voice in Congress with a focus on healthcare reform and fiscal policy improvements.
