Buddy Carter, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 1st district since 2015, recently took to social media to discuss legislative priorities and national celebrations. His online activity highlights his political focus and personal sentiments.

On July 3, 2025, Carter emphasized the urgency of passing the One Big, Beautiful Bill (OBBBA), urging action to prevent what he describes as “the largest tax hike in American history.” He stated: “It’s time to fish or cut bait – let’s get the #OBBBA to President Trump’s desk and prevent the largest tax hike in American history.”

Later that day, Carter expressed optimism about the economic impact of the OBBBA. He asserted that Americans would benefit financially from its implementation. In his words: “Americans will have more money in their pocketbooks because of the One Big, Beautiful Bill. Promises Made, Promises Kept”

On July 4th, Carter shared a message celebrating Independence Day. He conveyed gratitude for national freedoms with a religious undertone: “Happy 4th of July! As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we give thanks to God for the freedoms we enjoy. One Nation, under God—today and always.”

Buddy Carter has served in Congress since replacing Jack Kingston in 2015. Prior to this role, he was a member of both the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate.
