Buddy Carter, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 1st district since 2015, has recently expressed his views on several significant topics through social media posts. Carter, who succeeded Jack Kingston in Congress and has a background in both the Georgia House of Representatives and Senate, shared his thoughts on technological competition with China, American production under President Trump, and the importance of domestically produced medicines.

On May 5, 2025, Buddy Carter addressed concerns about China’s influence in technology sectors. He stated that “China cannot be allowed to dominate in 5G. With @POTUS, we can take the lead into the wireless future.” This statement underscores his stance on maintaining U.S. leadership in global technological advancements.

The following day, May 6, 2025, Carter commended former President Trump’s efforts to revitalize American manufacturing industries by stating “President Trump is bringing back American production! Welcome to the Golden Age!” This tweet reflects his support for policies aimed at boosting domestic production capabilities.

Later that same day, he further elaborated on domestic policy priorities concerning pharmaceuticals by tweeting “President Trump understands that we must have American made medicines. I’m proud to lead this effort in the House!” This indicates his active role in legislative efforts to promote pharmaceutical manufacturing within the United States.

Carter was born in Port Wentworth, Georgia in 1957 and currently resides in Pooler. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980.
