Buddy Carter, U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 1st congressional district and Chair of the American-Made Medicines Caucus, has recently highlighted several legislative actions and political disputes on his social media account.

On September 3, 2025, Carter praised a major pharmaceutical investment in the United States: “.@Amgen’s $40 billion investment is bringing the United States’ pharmaceutical manufacturing BACK. As Chair of the American-Made Medicines Caucus, I know firsthand how this will STRENGTHEN our economy, INCREASE high-paying jobs, and PROTECT our national security. Thank you https://t.co/87ZQJZ8mHQ”

The following day, September 4, 2025, Carter announced funding secured for Georgia through recent legislation: “Today, @HouseGOP passed the Energy and Water Appropriations bill, securing $65.7 million for Georgia, funding the modification and maintenance of the Port of Savannah and the Port of Brunswick. These investments will continue to STRENGTHEN Georgia’s economy and job creation!”

On September 5, 2025, Carter responded critically to Senator Jon Ossoff in a post that included strong language: “Pathetic, disgusting lies, @ossoff. Congrats on showing Georgians you’re not above using veterans as props for your press stunts. Your empty suit gimmicks spit in the face of people you claim to serve. How about spending less time on hair and makeup and more time actually https://t.co/WaYFsfhPCe”

Carter has maintained a consistent presence in Georgia politics over multiple election cycles. He won re-election in 2014 against Brian Reese with nearly 61% of the vote; again in 2018 against Lisa Ring with almost 58%; defeated Joyce Griggs in 2020 with over 58%; prevailed over Wade Herring in 2022 with just over 59%; and most recently beat Patti Hewitt in the general election held in 2024 by a margin of approximately 62% to 38%.
