On May 2nd, Carter announced a development concerning pharmaceutical production in the United States. He noted the potential impact, “This is major news! @POTUS is bringing pharmaceutical production back to the US!” This statement followed a government initiative to bolster national production capabilities in the pharmaceutical sector.

Later on May 2nd, in another post, he articulated his views on the necessity for pharmaceutical independence. Carter shared his perspective, stating, “Just like we need energy independence, we must have pharmaceutical independence.
