Buddy Carter, U.S. Representative from Georgia’s 1st congressional district, recently used his social media platform to comment on national security and labor issues, with a focus on the policies of former President Donald Trump and current political leadership.

On August 31, 2025, Carter posted: “Donald J. Trump is Making Our Streets Safe Again. The National Guard in Washington, D.C. is just the start – promises made, promises kept #MAGA”.

The following day, September 1, 2025, he criticized Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker’s approach to public safety: “Governor Pritzker enables lawlessness in his own backyard. Americans deserve leaders who keep them safe, not politicians who are willing to let their cities burn just to spite President Trump.”

Also on September 1, Carter addressed economic policy related to Labor Day: “Labor Day hits different when you have a President who puts the American Worker First. No tax on tips and no tax on overtime are just the start. Happy #LaborDay to the men and women who keep Georgia, and America, thriving.”

Buddy Carter has maintained his seat in Congress through several election cycles since first winning in 2014 against Brian Reese with nearly 61% of the vote. He continued this trend by defeating Joyce Griggs in 2020 (58%), Wade Herring in 2022 (59%), and Patti Hewitt in 2024 (62%).
