Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter has introduced a resolution to honor the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. The hospital, which began its affiliation with Candler Hospital in 1997, is recognized as the largest and most experienced healthcare provider in Southeast Georgia.
Rep. Carter expressed gratitude for the hospital’s long-standing service: “Since 1875, the fantastic staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital have served the people of Georgia’s First Congressional District faithfully. They have worked tirelessly to save lives and keep our friends and neighbors healthy. We are so grateful for their 150 years of resolute service to our district and excited for the many years to come.”
Paul P. Hinchey, President and CEO of St. Joseph’s/Candler, acknowledged the community support that has been vital throughout the hospital’s history: “Throughout St. Joseph’s Hospital’s history, we have been blessed with steadfast support from our community leaders. That support continues today, and we are grateful for this recognition from Congressman Carter, celebrating our 150th anniversary of serving the healthcare needs of southeast Georgia.”
