Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) has announced the acquisition of $56 million in additional funding for the Port of Savannah. This funding is designated for operations and maintenance improvements at the harbor.

Rep. Carter stated, “The Savannah Harbor is the fastest growing port in the nation, and we must ensure that it has the resources it needs to maintain this unprecedented growth.” He added, “I am proud to have delivered this critical funding on behalf of the Georgia Ports Authority so that we can continue to show the world that Georgia is a global hub of transportation and shipping.”
