On Friday, March 6, at 4:30 p.m., Devin Long, a former Islands High School standout, and her college softball team, the North Carolina A&T Aggies, were defeated 5-2 by the Elon Phoenix in an NCAA Division I matchup.

Hunt Softball Park was the venue for this game, marking the Aggies’ first meeting with the Phoenix this season.

Long pitched for 4.2 innings, giving up one earned run while recording seven walks and one strikeout.

The Aggies are set to face Elon Phoenix again at Hunt Softball Park on Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m.
