Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) has issued a statement following the passage of the One, Big Beautiful Bill Act by the U.S. House of Representatives.

“This is a once-in-a-generation bill that will unlock President Trump’s full domestic agenda, which Georgians voted for overwhelmingly back in November,” said Rep. Carter. He highlighted several key aspects of the bill, stating it would “unleash our nation’s energy dominance, secure the border, put more money back into hardworking Americans’ wallets,” and remove illegal immigrants from Medicaid to ensure availability for those in need.

Carter expressed pride in his Republican colleagues for passing the bill but noted that further action is needed. He urged Georgia’s Senators to make a choice: “Will they stand with the people of Georgia by preventing the largest tax hike in American history, or will they bend the knee to Chuck Schumer by siding with the liberal elites?”

The next steps for this legislation involve deliberation in the Senate.
