Jon Burns, a Republican member of the Georgia State House representing the 159th District since 2005, recently shared updates from his activities across Southeast and South Georgia on social media.
On October 30, 2025, Burns highlighted the leadership in Southeast Georgia, stating, “Southeast Georgia has witnessed historic success because of strong leaders like Representatives Ron Stephens, @JPetrea, and Bill Hitchens. It was great to be in Savannah supporting them this morning!”
Later that day, he posted about concluding a regional tour: “We wrapped up our South Georgia Tour tonight in Statesboro with this great group of Georgians. We look forward to being back under the Gold Dome in just a couple of short months to lead on the issues most important to our neighbors in every corner of the state!”
On October 31, 2025, Burns addressed voters ahead of an upcoming election: “ATTENTION GEORGIA VOTERS It’s the last day to vote early in the November 4th PSC election! I was proud to cast my ballot for incumbent Republicans Tim Echols and Fitz Johnson, who have fought to keep energy rates low for Georgians every step of the way.”
Burns has served as a representative since succeeding Ray Holland in 2005.
