When a planned Military Day event was canceled due to a federal government shutdown, the Leadership Savannah Class of 2025 redirected its focus to local healthcare. The group spent the day at HCA Healthcare, where they engaged with leaders in the medical field.

Brad Talbert, CEO of Memorial Health University Medical Center, hosted the class on short notice. The participants toured The Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital and the Mercer University School of Medicine. They also met with HCA leaders and Baxter, a therapy dog.

Military Day is expected to be rescheduled in the near future.
