Leadership Savannah recently organized a Manufacturing Day, offering participants an in-depth look at the aviation manufacturing sector. The event included exclusive tours of Gulfstream Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, and G-Force Aerospace Technologies. Attendees were provided with insights into the advanced aircraft design and precision engine components that position Savannah as a leader in high-tech manufacturing.

During lunch, Justin Haight from the Metro Atlanta Chamber gave a presentation on Georgia’s workforce trends. He discussed both challenges and opportunities for employers statewide, providing context on how Savannah’s industries integrate into the larger economic landscape. Haight emphasized the need for adaptation to maintain competitiveness and growth.

The day concluded with visits to Satchel’s retail store on Liberty Street and its production studio at Port City Sewing Factory. These visits highlighted local craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, showcasing another facet of Savannah’s manufacturing scene rooted in community pride.
