Lehman Franklin, a Republican member of the Georgia State House representing the 160th District, recently shared updates on social media regarding community engagement and legislative actions.

On September 29, 2025, Franklin expressed gratitude for a gift from a friend: “Big thanks to my good friend Chris Wiggins for the incredible gift of this handmade, wooden American flag! Later that day, Franklin highlighted his efforts with other lawmakers to address federal funding concerns. He wrote on September 29: “Today, several of my Republican colleagues and I sent a letter to leaders in Congress calling on them prevent a government shutdown by passing a clean short-term funding bill. A shutdown would have devastating consequences for families across Georgia and is not worth scoring a https://t.co/XfNeeoFMMG”.

The following day, on September 30, Franklin recapped his participation in a local business event: “Had a great time at the Regional Business Coalition event in Savannah last night! Franklin was elected in 2023 to represent Georgia’s 160th House District after succeeding Jan Tankersley. As an active legislator since then, he has focused on constituent outreach and regional economic issues.
