Jonathon Pickering, the former standout at Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career High School, took the court on Monday, Feb. 23, during the Converse Valkyries’ 81-73 defeat by the Chowan Hawks.
The 6-foot-1 freshman guard tallied three points and two steals across 13 minutes of play.
Pickering and the Converse Valkyries are set to host the Young Harris Mountain Lions on Wednesday, Feb. 25, with tipoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
