State Representative Carl Gilliard from Savannah is set to lead a road naming ceremony in honor of Nolan Smith. The event will take place on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Frank Callens Boys & Girls Club located in Savannah, Georgia.

The ceremony comes after Rep. Gilliard sponsored HR 539 during the 2025 legislative session. This resolution dedicates a bridge in Chatham County as the ‘Nolan S. Smith, Jr. Bridge.’

The public is invited to attend this event to recognize and celebrate Nolan Smith’s contributions.
