Rick W. Allen, U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 12th congressional district, recently shared a series of posts on his social media account addressing national service, agricultural policy, and a local tragedy.

On August 4, 2025, Allen recognized the anniversary of the United States Coast Guard with a message of gratitude: “Today, we honor 235 years of courage, commitment, and service. From safeguarding our shores to saving lives at sea, your dedication never goes unnoticed. Thank you to every member of the @USCG—past and present—for standing watch and keeping us safe. #SemperParatus https://t.co/aFVN0gY39U”

The following day, August 5, Allen highlighted new legislation aimed at supporting Georgia’s agricultural sector: “The One Big Beautiful Bill puts Georgia farmers and producers FIRST. This landmark legislation modernizes the farm safety net, expands market access for farmers, invests in rural economies, and provides the certainty our farm families deserve. https://t.co/MlJzXlOPQY”

On August 6, Allen addressed a recent incident involving Fort Stewart personnel: “Robin and I join the Governor and all Georgians in praying for the victims, their loved ones, and all the brave men and women stationed at Fort Stewart. We are grateful for the law enforcement officers and first responders on the ground who have responded to this tragedy swiftly. https://t.co/XXEXJ4o4SD”

Allen has maintained a strong electoral record in Georgia’s 12th district since first winning office in 2014 against John Barrow. He has consistently defeated Democratic challengers in subsequent elections—Patricia C. McCracken in 2016; Francys Johnson in 2018; Elizabeth Johnson in both 2020 (58.4% to 41.6%), 2022 (59.6% to 40.4%), and most recently in 2024 with a margin of 60.3% to 39.7%.
