Rick W. Allen, who has represented Georgia’s 12th District in the U.S. Congress since 2015, recently shared several updates on social media addressing national events and local engagements. Allen, a native of Augusta, Georgia and an Auburn University graduate, commented on significant political incidents and community activities.

On July 13, 2025, Allen reflected on the anniversary of an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. He stated: “One year ago today, America witnessed a heinous attempt on President @realDonaldTrump’s life in Butler, PA. Our Lord and Savior had other plans. God bless America! Fight, fight, fight! “

On July 15, 2025, Allen highlighted his visit to the American Radio Relay League’s Annual Field Day event in Columbia County as Vice Chair of the Communications and Technology Subcommittee. He wrote: “As Vice Chair of the Communications and Technology Subcommittee, I enjoyed stopping by the @ARRL’s Annual Field Day in Columbia County! Great demonstrations of the valuable services amateur radio operators provide to our communities and our nation. Thanks for having me!”

Later that same day, Allen addressed recent damages at City University of New York related to campus protests. He stated: “The antisemitic encampment at the City University of New York led to $3 MILLION in damages. CUNY Chancellor Félix Matos Rodríguez says only three students were ‘disciplined,’ then explains, ‘discipline goes from reprimands, training, suspension, or termination.'”

Rick W. Allen has served continuously as a member of Congress since replacing John Barrow in 2015.
