Rick W. Allen, U.S. Congressman and Chairman of the HELP Subcommittee, addressed issues of union leadership and recent acts of political violence in a series of posts on September 10, 2025.

In his first statement, Allen reaffirmed his stance regarding union conduct: “As Chairman of the HELP Subcommittee, I will continue to call out union leaders who defend those that engage in disruptive, discriminatory, and antisemitic behavior at the expense of fair representation.” (September 10, 2025).

Later that day, Allen commented on ongoing incidents involving political violence. He stated: “We must all unequivocally condemn the political violence plaguing our nation. Robin and I are praying for Charlie Kirk.” (September 10, 2025).

Allen followed up with another message expressing condolences to Charlie Kirk’s family: “Please keep Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they cope with this unimaginable loss. May our Lord and Savior hold them close in the days, months, and years ahead.” (September 10, 2025).

Rick W. Allen has served multiple terms as a U.S. Representative after winning several general elections since 2014. Most recently in 2024, he defeated Elizabeth Johnson with approximately 60% of the vote.
Over previous election cycles—including victories against Johnson in both 2022 and 2020—Allen has maintained a consistent margin over his opponents.
His continued service reflects longstanding support within his district.
