Rick W. Allen, U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 12th Congressional District and chair of the Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee, has recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing federal labor policy, space exploration achievements, and religious observance.

On April 1, 2026, Allen expressed support for a proposed rule from the U.S. Department of Labor. In his post he stated: “I applaud this proposed rule from @USDOL, which will provide increased flexibility and options for workers, retirees, and families. This rule will help ensure managers of 401(k) plans make sound financial decisions based on today’s modern, diversified investment landscape – https://t.co/b2QvxY7hJh”.

The following day, April 2, Allen reflected on a recent encounter involving his wife Robin and members of the Artemis II crew. He wrote: “My wife Robin had the opportunity to meet three members of the Artemis II crew who were guests of @SpeakerJohnson at the State of the Union in February. Grateful beyond words for the successful launch and bravery of these pioneers—paving the way for future Moon landings! https://t.co/EjOggaUV9I”.

On April 3, Allen posted about Good Friday observances: “On Good Friday, we pause to reflect on the profound sacrifice of our Lord and Savior and the enduring message of faith, humility, and redemption. Wishing all who observe a meaningful and blessed Good Friday. https://t.co/wpkait7eT6”.

Allen has been active in public service through involvement in Trinity on the Hill Global Methodist Church as well as various local business and civic organizations (source). Raised in a Georgia farming family and married for over five decades with four children and fourteen grandchildren (source), Allen brings experience both as an elected official—first winning election to Congress in 2014—and as founder of a construction company that contributed to economic development in Georgia communities (source).
