Rick W. Allen, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 12th district since 2015, has recently shared his thoughts on various issues through social media posts. Allen, who succeeded John Barrow in Congress and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University, addressed topics ranging from national security to economic indicators.
On June 2, 2025, Allen expressed his condolences regarding a violent incident in Boulder, Colorado. He stated: “Please join Robin and me in praying for the victims of the deeply disturbing terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado today. We must root out the plague of antisemitic violence in the United States and ensure it is met with prompt justice. Our hearts break for all those impacted.”
The following day, June 3, 2025, Allen commented on economic developments under the current administration: “Egg prices are down 61% since @POTUS took office. Happy #NationalEggDay, America! “ This post highlights significant changes in consumer goods pricing.
On June 4, 2025, Allen addressed workforce development needs: “To help address America’s workforce needs and prepare students to fill good-paying, in-demand jobs, we MUST bridge the gap between the business and education communities. Rick W. Allen was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1951 and continues to reside there at age 71.
