Rick W. Allen, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 12th District since 2015, has recently shared several updates via social media on issues affecting his constituents and legislative initiatives he supports.

On July 8, 2025, Allen addressed concerns about foreign influence on American resources. He stated that “The CCP has shown a clear pattern of using strategic land purchases to gain access to American resources—including over 200,000 acres of U.S. farmland.” Allen expressed approval for an announcement by Secretary Rollins aimed at protecting U.S. farmers and food supply from foreign adversaries.

The following day, July 9, 2025, Allen commented on the impact of natural disasters in his district. He noted that “Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Debby caused significant crop loss in the 12th District.” He conveyed satisfaction that congressionally approved funding is being directed to assist affected farmers and producers.

Later on July 9, Allen highlighted legislative progress related to nuclear energy projects. He shared his pride in having his Nuclear Licensing Efficiency Act included in the ADVANCE Act, stating “This bipartisan package will continue to help streamline future nuclear projects in the U.S. so we may fully embrace the reliability of clean, 24/7 nuclear energy for generations to come.

Rick W. Allen was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1951 and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973.
