Rick W. Allen, U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 12th congressional district, recently addressed topics ranging from legislative priorities to military appreciation and community safety in a series of posts on social media.

On August 6, 2025, Allen shared his experience at a local event: “Enjoyed speaking at the Martinez-Evans Rotary Club meeting today about how the One Big Beautiful Bill secures our borders, unleashes American energy, and protects the LARGEST tax cut in history for working families.”

The following day, he commented on an incident involving soldiers at Fort Stewart: “Robin and I are immensely grateful that the victims of yesterday’s tragic shooting at Fort Stewart are in stable condition and expected to make full recoveries. God bless the soldiers who acted quickly to prevent further casualties and save lives. As the investigation continues,” (August 7, 2025).

Also on August 7, Allen recognized Purple Heart Day with a message honoring servicemembers: “Today is Purple Heart Day, a time to remember and recognize the brave U.S. servicemembers who were wounded or gave their lives in combat.

To all recipients of the Purple Heart — we are forever in your debt.”

Allen has served multiple terms as representative for Georgia’s 12th district. In recent election cycles, he secured victories over Democratic challengers Elizabeth Johnson in both 2024 and 2022 with more than 59% of the vote each time; previous wins include defeating Francys Johnson in 2018 and Patricia C. McCracken in 2016 by similar margins.
