Rick W. Allen, U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 12th congressional district, recently used his social media platform to highlight economic growth figures, new veteran housing legislation, and address misconceptions about a legislative bill.
On July 30, 2025, Allen posted: ” The U.S. economy grew at a 3.0% pace in Q2, shattering expectations. The America First economic agenda is paying off!”
The following day, July 31, he commented on new legislation benefiting veterans: “The VA Home Loan Program Reform Act allows veterans who have fallen behind on their mortgages to receive federal assistance that is already available through other federal housing programs.
Glad to see this bill signed into law to reduce the risk of veteran homelessness in https://t.co/YMlqhkK6dV“
On August 1, Allen addressed public discourse surrounding the #OBBB bill: “FACTS > fear mongering
In my latest letter to the editor, I debunked a few of the most egregious myths circulating about the #OBBB.

Allen has maintained his seat in Congress since first winning election in 2014 against John Barrow and has consistently defeated Democratic challengers such as Elizabeth Johnson and Francys Johnson in subsequent elections. His electoral victories include a win over Elizabeth Johnson in 2024 with 60.3% of the vote.
