State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) is set to host a road naming ceremony in honor of Benjamin R. Polote, Sr. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Savannah.

Rep. Gilliard sponsored HR 810 during the 2025 legislative session to designate an intersection in Chatham County as the ‘Benjamin R. Polote, Sr. Intersection.’

The ceremony will be held at 112 Fell Street, Savannah, GA 31415.
