The City of Savannah is preparing to host its annual Super Saturday Grant Kickoff workshop on June 7. The event, aimed at local nonprofit organizations interested in applying for city grants, will take place at the Otis S. Johnson Cultural Arts Center.

Last year, Savannah invested over $1.6 million in local nonprofit programs through a competitive grant application process. This process requires quarterly reporting, on-site observation, and measurable outcomes from recipients.

Starting in early June, applications will open for four types of grants: Community Partnership Program (CPP), Arts and Cultural Enrichment (ACE), Violence Reduction Grant (VRG), and Day Center Mini-Grants.

The June 7 workshop will include an overview of each funding opportunity followed by breakout sessions specific to each grant program. Participants will receive step-by-step guidance on the application process and a live demonstration of the application software.

CPP grants are awarded through a competitive process to nonprofits that support the city’s goals in economic strength/poverty reduction, workforce development, youth development, health & wellness, and public safety.

The Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) offers Violence Reduction Grants to nonprofits focused on reducing gun violence among Savannah’s youth aged 12 to 25.

The Arts and Culture Enrichment Program (ACE) provides contracts to nonprofits and higher learning institutions for innovative art and cultural programs that enhance residents’ quality of life.

Day Center Mini-Grants are available for nonprofits assisting unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness. Awards can reach up to $25,000 for eligible expenses.

All proposed programs must occur within Savannah city limits during the 2026 calendar year. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the workshop for more information.
