The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce recently recognized several local businesses for their grand openings and ribbon-cutting ceremonies. ZIPS Car Wash on Highway 80 marked its reopening on August 7 after renovations, with new equipment and amenities aimed at improving customer service. The business, located at 4747 US 80, hosted a celebration that included giveaways and tours of the updated facility. “The ZIPS team is committed to serving the Savannah community through quality car care and local support initiatives,” according to the Chamber.
Waterleaf at Salt Creek, a new apartment complex at 5670 Ogeechee Road, also celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting on August 8. Attendees toured the property and networked with community leaders. The Chamber stated, “The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates Waterleaf at Salt Creek on its grand opening, a valuable addition to the Savannah housing market.”
Several upcoming events are scheduled in the coming weeks. The Vault: A Goodwill Boutique will open on August 22 at 800 Habersham Street in downtown Savannah. Early shoppers will receive free reusable bags while supplies last. Proceeds from sales and donations will support Goodwill Southeast Georgia’s job training programs, which assisted over 4,800 people in 2024 and helped place more than 600 individuals into employment opportunities.
Other upcoming ribbon cuttings include Sand Cat Coffee on Tybee Island (September 5), Boho Hair & Color Salon in Savannah (September 6), Young Office Savannah’s showroom launch at Eastern Wharf (September 10), Savannah Sunset Market at Eastern Wharf (September 11), Visiting Angels of Savannah (September 18), Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health of Georgia (October 3), and The Habersham School (October 7).
