The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is observing Trustees Appreciation Month in August, recognizing the contributions of its Trustees Council. The council consists of corporate CEOs and senior executives who offer strategic direction beyond that provided by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

According to the Chamber, “The Trustees Council unites corporate CEOs and senior executives who provide strategic guidance that extends beyond the work of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Their insight influences policy, drives economic growth, and strengthens Savannah’s business climate—benefiting every company and individual who calls our region home.”

Throughout August, the Chamber will highlight members of the Trustees Council for their leadership in the community. The organization stated, “All month long, we will spotlight Trustees whose commitment reflects true vision and community stewardship. Their collective efforts ensure Savannah remains a place where businesses thrive, partnerships prosper, and innovation flourishes.”

Expressing appreciation on behalf of its membership, the Chamber said, “On behalf of our members, we extend sincere gratitude to the Trustees Council for raising the standard of business leadership in Savannah. Your dedication inspires progress and helps secure a stronger future for our region.”

This week’s recognized trustees include JCB Inc., JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District, Kimpton Brice Hotel, Kraton Corporation, Live Oak Restaurants, Lummus Corporation, Marriott Savannah Riverfront, Medical College of Georgia–Savannah, MembersFirst Credit Union, Memorial Health, Norfolk Southern, Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah, Oliver Maner LLP, Publix Corporate, Reeves Construction Company, Rhino Hospitality Group, River Street Restaurant Group/First City Hospitality, RJ Young, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Savannah Morning News, Shaw Industries Group, SouthCoast Health and SouthState Bank.

Trustees Appreciation Month aims to honor those who play a significant role in shaping policies and promoting economic development within Savannah’s business sector.
