iCport Savannah held its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 23 at Kim’s Café Midtown, located at 714 Martin Luther King Blvd. The organization aims to support small businesses, creative entrepreneurs, and underrepresented voices in the community. iCport Savannah focuses on bridging gaps in visibility, access, and opportunity through media initiatives, marketing, partnerships, and events. Its mission is to uplift local brands and create sustainable growth paths for businesses in Savannah.

Element by Westin Savannah Midtown also celebrated its opening on July 24 at 26 W Fairmont Ave. The hotel offers extended-stay accommodations with modern amenities for travelers. The event included tours of the facility and networking opportunities for business and community leaders.

Several upcoming events are scheduled in early August. Public Health 4 Kidz Production will open its new Science Center on August 1 at 2204 Skidaway Road. The center will provide hands-on science experiences for children and serve as an internship site for students interested in health science fields. Programs include classes for homeschoolers and high school students, as well as outreach efforts with schools and community organizations.

Border Bites Café & Snack Cantina will celebrate its first anniversary on August 1 at 5966 Ogeechee Rd with food specials, music from a live DJ, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m.

Wandering Spirits Mobile Bartending will mark its one-year anniversary with a ribbon cutting on August 2 at Capital Collective Apartments Clubhouse, offering signature cocktails and refreshments during the event.

ZIPS Car Wash – Islands will hold a grand re-opening on August 7 at its remodeled location at 4747 US 80. Upgrades include new equipment and amenities designed to improve customer service.

Waterleaf at Salt Creek will host a ribbon cutting for its new apartment community on August 8 at 5670 Ogeechee Rd. The event will feature tours of the property and light refreshments.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health of Georgia is scheduled to hold an event on August 15 at its location on Stephenson Ave.

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce encourages members to attend these events in support of local businesses.
