The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is marking August as Chamber Trustees Appreciation Month, recognizing the contributions of its Trustees Council. The council consists of corporate CEOs and senior executives who offer strategic guidance to the chamber, supplementing the work of its Board of Directors.
According to the chamber, “Created to provide an additional and ongoing source of strategic guidance, the Trustees Council brings together corporate CEOs and senior executives whose knowledge, experience, and perspective strengthen the Chamber beyond the work of the Board of Directors. Their influence reaches far beyond the boardroom, impacting policy, fostering economic growth, and enhancing the business climate for all who call Savannah home.”
Throughout August, individual trustees will be highlighted for their engagement in service and community stewardship. The chamber stated that these efforts help ensure continued growth and innovation in Savannah’s business community.
“On behalf of our members, we thank the Trustees Council for their partnership and for raising the standard of business leadership in Savannah. Your commitment inspires progress and fuels the success of every business in our region,” said a statement from the chamber.
