The Savannah Area Chamber is working with the Regional Industry Support Enterprise (RISE) to gather feedback from local employers on childcare issues in Chatham County. This effort is part of a national project organized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Early Childhood Business Advisory Council, which aims to collect information about how childcare affects businesses and what strategies are being used or needed.

Chamber members are being asked to complete a survey from the Georgia Chamber Foundation. The goal is to learn more about the challenges businesses face when it comes to childcare for their employees. The information will help inform the U.S. Chamber Foundation as it works on solutions that support both families and employers.

According to the Savannah Area Chamber, “We encourage all members to complete the Georgia Chamber Foundation survey linked below. Your participation will help us understand local businesses’ real-world childcare challenges. The information provided will help the U.S. Chamber Foundation stay informed about business-led or business-endorsed advancements in childcare as a workforce support. This will enable the Foundation to continue offering the business community relevant resources and technical assistance on childcare.”

This initiative is intended to improve access to resources and assistance for employers who want to address childcare needs in their workforce.
