Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Member Services Tina Hinson Mock recently spoke to about 50 members of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at South Effingham High School. The event was held as part of the school chapter’s officer induction ceremony, which was attended by students, parents, advisors, and community leaders.
Mock discussed the importance of youth leadership and described how her involvement in FBLA influenced her own career path. “It was truly an honor to be with the vibrant student leaders and distinguished faculty at South Effingham High School,” Mock said. “The students did a phenomenal job organizing the ceremony and entertainment. It’s inspiring to watch the next generation of leaders in action. It was also a full-circle moment for me to speak to the upcoming leaders of an organization that played such an important role in my own life.”
FBLA is recognized as the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization globally, supporting over 230,000 members from middle school through college each year as they prepare for careers in business and leadership.
