The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with several local organizations to celebrate National Small Business Week. The event highlights the significance of small businesses in the local economy.

Partners for this year’s celebration include the City of Savannah, the Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce, the Metropolitan Savannah Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Savannah Downtown Business Association, Savannah’s Master Calendar, and Savannah’s Waterfront. Together, they aim to showcase and support small businesses in the area.

The festivities began on May 5 with an Owner’s Council luncheon that featured a legislative wrap-up discussion with local delegation members. Throughout the week, various events are scheduled. These include the Mayor’s Small Business Conference and the State of Small Business. The popular Reverse Trade Show at the Civic Center will also take place, along with Small Business Gives Back Day on Thursday. The week concludes with Shop Small Weekend to encourage community support for local entrepreneurs.

The chamber expressed its enthusiasm for recognizing “the incredible impact of our small businesses and the partnerships that help them succeed.”

Scheduled events for National Small Business Week 2025 include a press conference and Owner’s Council Luncheon on May 6, followed by a happy hour at 4:30 PM. On May 7, attendees can participate in the Mayor’s Small Business Conference. A Broughton Street Clean Up is planned for May 8 at 8:30 AM by the Savannah Downtown Business Association, followed by Startup Savannah’s GRIT Pitch announcement at 6:00 PM. The week wraps up with Shop Small Weekend from May 9 to May 10.
