Governor Brian Kemp, the Savannah-Georgia Convention Center Authority, and local leaders marked the opening of the expanded Savannah Convention Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event took place last week and was attended by over 300 people. Following the press conference, attendees were given tours of the new space and participated in a reception.

Governor Kemp stated, “This truly is a landmark day for Savannah, Chatham County and for Georgia. Tourism does mean economic development for our state and this is one more example of that.”

The expansion aims to boost tourism and economic development in Georgia by providing enhanced facilities at the convention center.
