The City of Savannah is urging residents, businesses, and commuters to sign up for its RAVE Alert System, which provides real-time notifications about local emergencies. The system delivers alerts by text, email, or phone regarding severe weather, road closures, public safety incidents, boil-water advisories, and other important events.
Enrollment in the RAVE Alert System is free and allows users to choose their preferred types of alerts. Participants can also add specific addresses such as home, work, or school to receive geo-targeted updates.
According to city officials, staying informed through these notifications can help individuals and organizations remain prepared during emergencies. Registration is open through the City of Savannah’s RAVE Alert Portal. Additional resources and options for alert notification signups are available on the Chatham Emergency Management Agency website.
“Be the first to know about local emergencies. The City of Savannah’s RAVE Alert System sends real-time notifications about severe weather, road closures, public safety incidents, boil-water advisories, and more—by text, email, or phone.”
Residents are encouraged to register themselves as well as their teams or families for better preparedness in case of an emergency.
