The City of Savannah’s Office of Management and Budget has initiated a Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Priorities Survey. This initiative aims to gather input from residents for inclusion in the budget planning process over the summer.

The survey is available from May 7 through August 31. It allows residents to rank City services that should be prioritized in the upcoming budget. The survey also seeks feedback on City Council priorities, satisfaction with current city services, preferences regarding taxes and fees, and provides space for suggestions on cost savings or more efficient service delivery.

Participation in the survey takes approximately 15 minutes, and responses are anonymous. The results will be compiled and used in decision-making for next year’s budget. The data set will be shared with the public in the last quarter of 2025.

Savannah operates on a fiscal year from January 1 to December 31. By law, the City Council must pass a balanced budget by year-end. City staff work during the summer to prepare a proposed budget ahead of November meetings.
