The City of Savannah’s Economic Development Department, in collaboration with Startup Savannah and the Small Business Assistance Corporation, has announced that applications are now open for the second cohort of Launch Savannah. This business accelerator program targets small and minority-owned businesses.
The 2025 session is scheduled to start on July 1 and will be held every Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., concluding on September 16. Interested participants can find application details online.
Launch Savannah offers a 12-week intensive course aimed at both aspiring and newly established entrepreneurs. The program aims to equip participants with skills necessary for success in their business endeavors. Upon completion, attendees will receive an accelerator scholarship package that includes support services such as accounting, marketing, legal assistance, and other resources vital for small startup businesses.
This initiative serves as an economic driver for the community and was initially recommended by the REAL taskforce. The taskforce’s mission focused on identifying systemic barriers, particularly those related to racism, which hinder people of color from reaching their full potential.
