Southern Wesleyan falls to UNC Pembroke 11-1 in Division II baseball matchup

Southern Wesleyan, featuring former Bryan County High School star Logan Brazell, suffered an 11-1 defeat against the UNC Pembroke Braves in an NCAA Division II baseball contest held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 12 p.m.

The matchup was played at Dr. C Keith Connor Field and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. When they met the previous day, Friday, Feb. 27, the Braves earned a 7-4 win over Southern Wesleyan.

On the mound, Brazell gave up three earned runs in two innings pitched, walking five and striking out two.

Southern Wesleyan is set to play its next game on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m., again facing the UNC Pembroke Braves at Dr. C Keith Connor Field.
