Today, Speaker Jon Burns praised the efforts of the Georgia Department of Transportation and Effingham County officials for installing new traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 21 and McCall Road.

“The completion of this project represents the unwavering commitment of our community members, elected officials and state agencies to championing the safety and well-being of the citizens of Effingham County,” said Speaker Jon Burns. “We know how dangerous this intersection has been, and I’m grateful for each individual who worked diligently to make this life-saving public safety improvement a reality for our community.”

There are additional plans to widen McCall Road to add left-turn lanes and further improve the traffic signals.
