Cost of college went up for all students at Savannah College of Art and Design

Tuition and fees rose 2 percent for 2018-19 at Savannah College of Art and Design, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia students paid $37,130 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $720 more than the $36,410 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 2,216 students received grants or scholarships totaling $27.6 million and 1,117 students took out student loans totaling more than $11.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (14,086), 9,745 students used grants or scholarships totaling $114.7 million, and 4,589 students took out $29.4 million in federal student loans.
