Cost of college went up for all students at Ogeechee Technical College

In-state tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at Ogeechee Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia residents paid $2,876 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $4 more than the $2,872 charged for 2017-18.

Non-resident students would have paid 74.3 percent more than residents this year, or $5,012. Non-resident tuition and fees grew 0.1 percent from $5,008 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Georgia residents.

Data shows 89 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 153 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.1 million and 10 students took out student loans totaling more than $40,814.

Including all undergraduates (2,014), 1,647 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.8 million.
